Welcome. By using KindKeep, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as short and human as we could.

The basics

KindKeep is an iOS app that helps you remember the people you love. We provide it; you use it. You're responsible for the data you put in, and for treating other people's information with care.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use KindKeep.
You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure — we can't recover an account compromised at the Apple level.
You're responsible for everything done from your account.

Your data and content

The contacts, notes, gift ideas, and reminders you create are yours.
You're responsible for not adding people's information without their reasonable awareness.
You agree not to use KindKeep for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful — including stalking, harassment, or storing data that violates someone's privacy.

KindKeep Pro (subscriptions)

Pro is a monthly or annual subscription processed by Apple via the App Store.
Both plans start with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel any time from your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your account at the standard renewal price.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request them through your App Store purchase history.
If your subscription ends or is cancelled, your data is preserved (read-only over free-tier limits) — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Referrals

When a friend signs up using your referral code and starts a paid Pro subscription (after their trial converts), we extend your KindKeep Pro by one month.
Referrals are single-sided: only the referrer earns. The friend gets Apple's standard 7-day trial like any new user.
We may revoke rewards for fraud, self-referrals, or abuse.

What we provide (and don't)

KindKeep is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect uptime, or that the app will fit every possible use case. We're a small team.

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We can't guarantee delivery if iOS, your device, or your notification settings prevent them from firing. Don't rely on KindKeep alone for anything life-critical.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the app.
Abuse, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
Use KindKeep to harm, harass, or violate the privacy of any person.
Resell or commercially redistribute access to KindKeep Pro.

Termination

You can stop using KindKeep at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, KindKeep is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed birthdays, forgotten anniversaries, or any emotional distress that might result from a missed reminder. Our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
